	Welcome! This site is for parents, teachers, librarians, teens and kids-anyone looking for a good book.       What is an adventure book? It's a book that carries you into another time or place, and takes you along on journey of excitement and thrills.   The only books I don't cover on this site are YA paranormals, because there are just too many of them for me to keep up with, and many other sites do review and recommend them. Many books can fit in more than one category, especially the ones with fantasy elements, but in the interests of time (mine) each is only listed in one. The pacing and excitement of adventure stories will keep them turning the pages. 	Adventure Books - Book Club Discussion Questions     Adventure books are great choices for young reader book clubs: elementary school-age, tween, and young adult. The books are exciting enough to keep everyone in the group interested and participating.       There are some general questions below that work with almost all adventure books. You may be able to find questions for specific books by going to authors' or publishers' websites.     1. How would you feel if you were in the main character's place, embarking on this adventure? Would you be scared? Excited? Both? 2. Often adventures test us in ways we don't expect. How were the characters in the book tested? 3. Did the characters discover they had certain skills that helped them in the adventure? Skills they didn't know would be useful? 4. Did the characters make some bad choices along the way? Why did they do that? 5. What part of this adventure was the most exciting for you? What part was the most frightening? 6.
